Why the practice exists
Most of the people who walk into AffordaHealth have already seen three or four doctors. They have a folder of imaging, a list of medications that half worked, and a feeling that nobody actually read the folder. The practice was started in 2006 to be the place where somebody does.
That shapes how appointments run. The doctor reads your records and your imaging before deciding anything. Visits are not stacked so tightly that questions get cut off. You leave with a written plan that says what we are treating, what we expect to change, and when we will check. If we are not the right place for your problem, we say so and coordinate a referral rather than keep you on the schedule.
What we do

Two clinics, one team
Davie is the original clinic on State Road 84, serving Broward County. Boynton Beach on West Boynton Beach Boulevard serves Palm Beach County. The same doctors, the same treatment plans and the same front desk process apply at both. The one difference is StemWave shockwave therapy, which is available at Davie only.
The people
Dr. Irvine Mason has been treating South Florida patients for more than 50 years and is the practice's Medical Director. Dr. Charley Scheim brings more than 20 years in neurology and chronic pain. Dr. Rudy Escarria, trained in internal medicine and geriatrics, leads the detox and medication-assisted treatment program. Linda runs the office, and Jess, Laura and Shaquoya are the medical assistants most patients get to know first. Meet the team.
